Good to know
Questions, answered.
The things homeowners ask us most, before the free estimate. Still have a question? Just call or email.
What areas do you serve?
We paint homes throughout Clayton, Garner, Apex, Cary, Smithfield, Fuquay-Varina, Raleigh and the surrounding areas across Johnston and Wake Counties. Not sure if you’re in our area? Just call or email and ask.
Are you insured?
Yes — Mario’s Painting NC is fully insured, so every job is covered from the first coat to the final walkthrough. (North Carolina does not require a state license for residential painting.)
How do estimates work, and are they free?
Estimates are always free. The quickest way to start is to call or email — Mario comes out, looks at the job in person, takes the time to understand what you want, and gives you a clear, honest written estimate, including any light carpentry or repairs he spots.
What kind of paint do you use?
We use low-VOC, high-quality paints that are safe for your family and pets. For cabinets we use cabinet-specific primers and paints that cure to a hard, factory-like finish, and for exteriors we use durable, weather-resistant products built for Carolina summers.
Do I have to replace my old cabinets?
Usually not. If your cabinets are structurally sound but dated or dingy, refinishing them is a fraction of the cost of replacement and gives you a fresh, hard-wearing, factory-like finish that resists peeling, chipping and stains.
How do you prep before painting?
Prep is where a paint job is won or lost. We protect your floors and furniture, sand, patch drywall, caulk and prime where it’s needed, and repair wood rather than paint over it. Doing the prep right is what makes the finish last.
Can you handle small carpentry and drywall repairs too?
Yes. We provide light carpentry and sheetrock repair before painting — fascia replacement, trim repair, siding touch-ups and drywall patching — so surfaces are sound before a drop of paint goes on.
Will you clean up after the job?
Always. We keep a tidy site, clean up each day, and walk the whole finished job with you before we call it done. If something isn’t right, we make it right.
